Meet Jay
Jay Moore was born in Iredell County on August 27, 1974, and has lived in Catawba County his whole life. A Maiden High School graduate, he earned degrees in Business Management and Industrial Management at Catawba Valley Community College. He is running for Catawba County Commissioner.

Why I’m running / Why November matters
Jay Moore won the March 2026 Republican primary for Catawba County Commissioner. The job is not finished. On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Catawba neighbors choose who sits on the Board of Commissioners. Jay is asking for that general-election vote — same neighbor, same four priorities, Stay on Target.

Jay’s plan is four priorities: Back the Blue, Support Our Local Schools, Focus On Infrastructure, and Defend Our History and Heritage. That is the work he is asking Catawba County to send him to do.

Prioritize sustainable development and maintenance of roads, utilities, and broadband access to enhance connectivity, boost economic growth, and improve quality of life for all residents.
